We wanted to aim our film at young people of our age, (around 17 and 18) as we thought it would be easy to produce something that we enjoyed making, as it is more likely that our friends and peers will like watching it. Our target audience, are both male and female, aged around 17 to 18, they like to watch funny and/or entertaining programmes like The Inbetweeners, Hollyoaks and Big Brother. The digital era that we now live in encourages teenagers to share, produce and watch on social networking sites like Facebook, Myspace, Bebo. New sites like Twitter provide people with others opinions, and allow you to see what people have been doing and therefore watching. Due to the advances in digital technology there is now a high demand for more choice, therefore the amount of short film festivals and competitions are growing day by day.
